Constructive Interference Based Secure Precoding: A New Dimension in Physical Layer Security

چکیده
Abstract—Conventionally, interference and noise are treated as catastrophic elements in wireless communications. However, it has been shown recently that exploiting known interference constructively can even contribute to signal detection ability at the receiving end. This paper exploits this concept to design artificial noise (AN) beamformers constructive to the intended receiver (IR) yet keeping AN disruptive to possible eavesdroppers (Eves). The scenario considered here is a multiple-input singleoutput (MISO) wiretap channel with multiple eavesdroppers. Both perfect and imperfect channel information have been considered. The main objective is to improve the receive signalto-interference and noise ratio (SINR) at IR through exploitation of AN power in an attempt to minimize the total transmit power, while confusing the Eves. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed constructive AN precoding approach yields superior performance over conventional AN schemes in terms of transmit power as well as symbol error rate (SER).

Optimal SVD-based Precoding for Secret Key Extraction from Correlated OFDM Sub-Channels
Secret key extraction is a crucial issue in physical layer security and a less complex and, at the same time, a more robust scheme for the next generation of 5G and beyond. Unlike previous works on this topic, in which Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) sub-channels were considered to be independent, the effect of correlation between sub-channels on the secret key rate is address...
متن کاملSymbol Based Precoding in The Downlink of Cognitive MISO Channels
This paper proposes symbol level precoding in the downlink of a MISO cognitive system. The new scheme tries to jointly utilize the data and channel information to design a precoding that minimizes the transmit power at a cognitive base station (CBS); without violating the interference temperature constraint imposed by the primary system. In this framework, the data information is handled at sym...
متن کاملConstructive Interference in Linear Precoding Systems: Power Allocation and User Selection
The exploitation of interference in a constructive manner has recently been proposed for the downlink of multiuser, multi-antenna transmitters. This novel linear precoding technique, herein referred to as constructive interference zero forcing (CIZF) precoding, has exhibited substantial gains over conventional approaches; the concept is to cancel, on a symbolby-symbol basis, only the interferin...

متن کاملD2D Communications with Enhanced Physical Layer Security in Cellular Networks
In this paper, we consider secure device-to-device (D2D) direct communication in cellular networks for wiretap channel. We assume that D2D transmitter sends its data to desired D2D receiver by reusing frequency resources originally allocated to the cellular link transmission between a base station (BS) and a cellular user. When there is a single eavesdropper (ED) in wiretap channel, we propose ...
